"If you can't measure it, you can't improve it" - Peter DruckerI have started tracking my each and every expense and investment starting Janurary 1st, 2021 using Google Sheets. You might be wondering WHY? Everyone has there own why's to track expenses, some want to budget it right, some want to improve it, while some want to get a peace of mind. For me, it is definetly peace of mind. Before I started doing this I was anxious when it came to finances, questions like Am I overspending? Am I saving enough? Where is my salary going every month? and questions around my net worth used to bother me a lot.
Personal Finance Manager is a great tool to create a balanced approach between your expenses and investments. While there are some automated ways of doing it, I find the customized and self regulated method much more useful as you can customize the fields and build a story around your expenses and investment.
This weekend I created this expense and investment planned using Zoho Creator which provides me flexibility to add expenses and investments on the go using the Web and App interfaces. The report and family wealth section keeps me aware of how we as a family are progressing MoM, QoQ and YoY.
